Dinner at the Ravintola Piparkakkutalo

Während meines geschäftlichen Aufenthaltes im wundervollen Finnland in dieser Woche, hatten wir Gelegenheit ein Abendessen im wirklich hoch empfehlenswerten Restaurant „Piparkakkutalo“, dem „Lebkuchenhäuschen“ oder auch „Knusperhäuschen“ bei uns in Deutschland, zu genießen. Es ist in der Stadt Hämeenlinna, etwa 100 km nordwestlich von Helsinki.
Ich werde diesen Post erweitern müssen, wenn ich wieder daheim bin, für den Moment möchte ich nur teilen was für einen wundervollen Hauptgang ich gestern Abend hatte. Es war ein langsam gegarte Lammkeule mit hinreißender Sauce und geröstetem Gemüse, sowie einem Kartoffel-Karotten Muffin.
Ich kann mich nicht erinnern wann ich zuletzt Lamm hatte das so gut zubereitet war. Habe es sehr genossen, sehr empfehlenswert, und wenn ihr jemals die Gelegenheit habt, kommt hier her.

Staying in wonderful Finland this week for business purposes, we had the opportunity to have dinner at the really highly recommended Ravintola Piparkakkutalo, the „Gingerbread House Restaurant“, in the town Hämeenlinna. This is about 100 km northwest of Helsinki.
I will have to expand this post when back at home, to tell you more about it. For now, I just have to share the wonderful main course I had yesterday evening. It was a slowly cooked lambs shank, with marvelous jelly and roasted vegetables and a potato and carrot muffin.
I cannot remember when I had lamb the last time that was so perfectly done. Really enjoyed it, highly recommended if you ever get a chance to come here.
